Program Overview

Businesses today are expanding internationally more frequently and earlier in their evolution as operating in global markets become the business norm.  This course examines the decision making process for enterprises as they consider overseas expansion including current trends in internationalization, foreign direct investment criteria, and vehicles for overseas growth (licensing agreements, strategic alliances, joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, greenfield investment). Classwork will be supplemented by on site visits of local businesses.  Students will explore the island and participate in excursions to local Mauritius sites.  The program will be open to students from ALU.
