Welcome to the Goucher Study Abroad programs website.

We're here to support you! The Office of Global Education advises students who are planning to study abroad, are considering a course to satisfy their study abroad requirement, and  those who plan on applying for international grants, such as Fulbright, Gilman, Boren, and Freeman-Asia. We look forward to working with you through this exciting process!

Information on walk-in hours and our appointment schedule can be found through Navigate. Our advisors are available for in-person and virtual appointments.

All students who study abroad are required to attend a Study Abroad 101 session in Office of Global Education. Led by Office of Global Education advisors, the session lasts approximately 30 minutes. They are held Thursdays in Van Meter 107 at 3:00 pm. Study Abroad 101 covers topics such as how to explore program options, apply for a study abroad program, obtain academic credit for study abroad, and organize financial matters.

For more information or for alumni wishing to explore international opportunities, please contact: Associate Vice President of Global Education Luchen Li, Luchen.Li@goucher.edu

After attending a Study Abroad 101 Session students who are interested in semester study abroad programs must attend Study Abroad 102. Study Abroad 102 are led by the study abroad advisors who will provide students with country and program specific information. The  sessions will also feature a detailed overview of the application process. Students interested in a semester study abroad program should participate in Study Abroad 101 and 102 before meeting individually with an advisor. If there is not a session that fits your schedule, please come to the walk in hours (listed in Navigate) with a global education advisor.  There are no Study Abroad 102 sessions for short-term (summer/winter) study abroad programs.

The deadline to apply for a program for the Fall 2023 semester is Friday, March 10, 2023.
